This dermal filler is made of PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid), which stimulates natural collagen production over time. As a result, the results are not immediate, rather slowly appearing over time. In addition, more than one treatment may be required. This product is used to treat volume loss to the face, and improve the appearance of wrinkles, lines and creases. Results will be delayed over several weeks (up to 4-6 weeks) but can last up to two years.
The actual injection treatment can take 15 minutes to 60 minutes, depending on which area of your face is being treated. With most dermal fillers, results can be almost immediate. The most common side effects are tenderness, swelling, firmness, bumps, bruising, redness, itching or discoloration at the injection site. It is important to minimize strenuous exercise, exposure to extensive sun or heat, and alcohol within the first 24 hours following treatment.
